"The Baa" is a small, cosy and fun little pub at one end of Lowhouse. It might be the smallest pub in the world, but probably isn't; but let's be honest- it's not massive. It does, however, have a large and picturesque beer garden overlooking the valley at the back of Lowhouse, a cobbled floor and some sheep related decoration.

It has become a wonderful place where local farmers and village regulars mix with the repeat visitors and tourists staying at the hostel, campsite, caravan site or other places locally. It is a great place to pop in for a drink if you are walking or cycling through the village, and we have recently adapted an exisiting outbuilding so that bikes can be parked securely, which is for the use of all our visitors, whether staying for a week or just one pint.

"The Baa" serves a range of local ales, which usually includes the popular Penine Pale and one other guest ale, as well as Carling Lager, Stella Artois and Thatchers Gold cider, all on draft. We have an excellant and ever- increasing range of gins and related tonics including Schweppes and Fevertree. We also serve prosecco and wine by the bottle, as well as an eclectic range of high end spirits and non-alcoholic options, plus some delicious "Baa" Snacks.

On a Friday night, the "Baa" provides a range of home cooked food.

We accept all the usual credit cards.

Come in for a pint, a gin and tonic or glass of wine, while you are out and about. Everyone welcome.

(This is a real photo. One of our bulls decided he fancied a pint apparently.)
