Lowhouse Haven is a 17th century building, now with its own pub: "The Baa"
Set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we offer accomodation which can be from a single bed to booking the whole building.
In a stunning village location, the accomodation can be used as a base for the many great activities the British rural landscape has to offer.

Family Room Options
Room for three (family room, 1 pair of bunks and a single bed) - £60/night.
Room for Four (family room, 1 pair of bunks and a Kingsize bed) Downstairs room with disabled access and shower facilities–£80/night.
2 x Rooms for five (Family rooms, 2 pairs of bunks, a single bed) £80/night
Whole Building (up to 31 beds + cots) £425/night.(Excluding News Eve and New Years Day, which are £500 per night) The Hostel is closed Christmas Eve/Day.
What is Provided:
All bed linen, duvets and pillows are provided, but please bring your own towels and toiletries.
This is a self-catering establishment with a shared kitchen (with ovens and hobs, fridge, freezer, washing up area, pans, equipment, cutlery and crockery.)
We also have a large drying room.

We complete all our online bookings for individual beds or rooms through the Youth Hostel Association. This is also the place to check out the great reviews we receive on tripadvisor.
Camping at Lowhouse
There are pitches for 8 tents, available in the pretty walled garden in the field to the rear of the building. Protected by mature trees, campers enjoy magnificent views of the rolling fells of the North Pennines.
There is additional camping in the adjacent field. Campers may drive onto the field at their car’s own risk, or, if the ground is soft, park in the hardstanding area next to the building.
Campers will be given access the hostel’s facilities, including showers and toilets 24 hours a day. Campers may also use the shared kitchen.
Campers may also use the drying room
This campsite is suitable for families, singles, couples and organised groups.
We also have a Firepit, Barbecue and Barbecue area.
Camping is £8 per adult and £7 per child regardless of the number of tents.
